In 1989 he set up GOOD COMPANY working with elite travel agencies and incentive houses to provide a premium private sightseeing tour service. Good in Britain & Good in London are two new brands established in 2010 to bring this service to a wider audience. Helping you to enjoy the best of Britain is our passion.

We are experienced professionals. Most of us are university graduates and have had previous careers before becoming a guide. All are entertaining, urbane, articulate and – our clients tell us – amusing.
Guides have wide previous professional experience – e.g. retired diplomats, ex- military officers, senior police officers, actors, civil servants, teachers, lecturers, historians, lawyers etc. We make history come to life …

We have priority access to ticket offices at many of the major sights, such as The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Roman Baths, Warwick Castle etc. On a busy day, this can save at least an hour waiting in line for tickets.
Our knowledge of short cuts and the prettiest back-roads (not used by the tour buses) is second to none. We can show you in a single day – without stress - what it would take you two days to do on your own.
Driving on the “correct” side of the road isn’t so nerve-wracking when we do it for you!
Your tour itinerary is versatile and flexible, not fixed. We are at your exclusive disposal, and are not tied to the rigid timetable of a larger group. When you want to photo-stop or antique shop, you can. We adjust the pace to suit your style, interests, preferences and the [variable] conditions of the day.
We can help you save time and money too. We can give you the latest recommendations on theatre, restaurants and how best to organise your precious time.

What you need and want to know
Our rates are quoted in GB £ Sterling per vehicle and include all applicable taxes.
The only ‘extras’ are your expenses, such as your meals and drinks and any admission charges. Blue Badge Guides are granted free admission to most sights, as a courtesy. Gratuities are at your discretion - we are happy to advise you if required. We accept all major credit cards. 
We drive smart modern sedans and MPV “People Carriers”. All Driver-Guides carry cellphones, available for your use if required. A charge may be made for extensive or International usage.
We are all covered by “private hire” insurance, as required by law. Please beware of “cheaper” small operators, who may reduce their costs by neglecting these expensive legal obligations.
Simon Good is a Private Hire Operating Centre, licensed by the Public Carriage Office on behalf of Transport for London, as required by law.
All Driver-Guides are licensed Private Hire Drivers and have been checked for medical fitness and have been background checked to ensure the absence of any criminal convictions.
All vehicles are licensed Private Hire vehicles and are regularly tested for road-worthiness.
We tour throughout Britain & France and can tailor itineraries throughout Western Europe. From a short tour of London to a month long pan-European odyssey, all in the company of a British national, who speaks the language of the country you are visiting, and who can guide you in English, with a British accent.
We can offer tours by car, on foot, by public transport or by minibus or coach.
We can also provide foreign language speaking guides; we offer 40 languages:
